Bible Study:
Importance
of Prayer

Importance of Prayer 05.18.08 Hello My Friend/Guest, It is Sunday May 18, 2008 and today we are continuing our studies on the book of I Chronicles. Please read Chapters 17-20 in your Bible or Click Here to read. Today we will read and learn about God forbiding David to build the Temple, God's Covenant with David, his prayer, and God's extension of Davids kingdom. Today's message focuses on the importance of prayer, praise, and reading the entire Bible. Prayer and praise to God were distinguishing characteristics in the life of David. Of no other person in Hebrew history do we find equal to David's often recorded phrase, David inquired of the Lord (I Samuel 23:2,4; 30:8; II Samuel 2:1; 5:19,23; 21:1; I Chronicles 14:10,14). David's prayer life was often words of praise and although he is the king of Israel, he opens his prayer with a deep sense of humility and dependency, "And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine... Mom musings
Is this normal??
Okay, should I worry about this?? Tyler is six. She is happy and carefree, and skips through life. She never has temper fits, or whining issues. She is just so level. When Cory left, she cried for a few days, and asked when he would be back. I felt bad for her and Cameryn, who also cried, but more copious tears. After a while she never asked for Cory. Kind of out of sight, out of mind type of thing. When he would come to visit, she would act really blase, like it was no big deal. When he was gone again, no reaction. So, she is much closer to Brittany. Brittany was her primary teacher, in addition to being her daycare provider. When she found out Britt had left, all she was concerned about was someone being there to get her after school. Once we had Cindy lined up, Tyler was okay, and skipped down her primrose path again. Brittany came to visit last night, and it was the first time Tyler had seen her again. No reaction. Tyler gave her a hug because she knew it was expected of her,... (more)

HopesandDreams...
Life...
It's only been a day, yet it isn't hard to see, how life has soaked through sheets, and distributed irony. Through all the pain and loss, all the death and tears, all my thoughts and dreads, even hopes and fears. Nothing hurts as much, nothing pains me so, than to see you looking back, and knowing what I know. That life is all a play, in which all act their parts, wearing black silk masks, to cover up their hearts.

So This Is Me~
he's my lobster
Yesterday was a day full of nostalgia. It started by hauling out a bunch of Ryan's baby clothes from the attic. Mom and Laura decided to have a yard sale next week end so by default i'm involved and found myself having to sift through precious tiny clothes; remembering when my rambuctious 5 year old wore them as a tiny infant. We then attended my sort-of step-brother-in-law's wedding (sort of being that my father in law and his mother are no longer married but they grew up togther and obviously thus still consider themselves brothers). Whew! Anyway, I love weddings, always have. Depending on my own emtional state sometimes they are harder then others; it seems I always end up reliving my entire marriage; both the good and bad. Sometimes weddings make me happier, sometimes saddened, full of regret. Yesterday was mostly a good day. I was a little sad, but not as much for myself. Yes, we've made pleanty of mistakes but yesterday I was happy to leave them in the past, using... (more)
